3M’s Ceramic Purple Abrasives are excellent for sanding and finishing wood, metals, fiberglass, diestone, plastics, and other materials. 3M’s Cubitron ceramic aluminum oxide mineral sharpens itself with use. Once initial grinding wears the grain flat, it fractures along micro cracks creating new cutting edges. This process repeats itself throughout the entire grinding process.

2 to 4 times longer abrasive life than traditional aluminum oxide bands and discs

Faster stock removal with less heat and loading

Available in 120 and 220 grit

Use Sanding Bands with 3/32″ (2.35mm), 1/8″ 1/4″ & 6mm shank rubber drum   mandrels.

Use PSA Sanding Discs (pressure sensitive adhesive) on disc mandrels in 3/4″ 2″ and 3″ (19, 51, & 76mm) diameters.
