The Foredom Flexade is a versatile attachment designed to convert a bench lathe, drill press, or electric drill into a flexible shaft machine.
What is included?
It comes with a 34-inch-long flexible key tip type shaft that is specifically right-side mounted when used with Foredom’s bench lathe or another bench top lathe. The Flexade is available with different coupling sizes to fit various motor shafts, including 1/4″, 1/2″, 3/8″, and 5/16″ options. This attachment allows for enhanced maneuverability and precision, making it ideal for tasks such as carving, polishing, and grinding.
The Flexade includes a standard outer sheath and inner key tip shaft, which can be used with any of Foredom’s key tip connecting handpieces.
Optimal Performance
For optimal performance, it is recommended to operate the motor at speeds of 3,500 RPM or higher, although it can handle speeds up to 7,000 RPM.
