Series TX Motor:
Foredom’s most powerful flex shaft machines with 1/3HP have permanent magnet DC motors that feature the latest in flex shaft technology. These ball bearing models utilize advanced rare earth magnets (in place of the wound fields in our universal type Series SR motors) that deliver more torque at the low end and throughout the entire speed range of 500 to 15,000 RPM. No other flex shaft gives you greater control of the cutting tool, drill, or bur under any load. Comes equipped with a motor bale for hanging, and our standard 39″ long key tip inner shaft and outer sheath for connecting to any of Foredom’s interchangeable handpieces.
C.TXR looks the same as our standard foot operated control but it has special electronics that converts AC current from an electrical outlet to DC current, the type required by Series TX motors. This control also has a different style plug that is made to fit the motor’s shielded-type plug. The C.TXR features solid state circuitry in a heavy duty plastic housing with an extra wide footprint, low profile, and non-skid pads on the bottom.
C.SXR foot operated speed control comes in a metal housing and the extra weight provides added stability and control. It features the same durable, solid state electronics as the C.TXR-1. The ergonomics allow precise and reliable speed control with your foot. C.SXR has special electronics that converts AC current from an electrical outlet to DC current- the type required by the motor. It also has a special plug that fits the motor’s shielded plug.
C.EMX looks the same as our standard table top control but it has special electronics that converts AC current from an electrical outlet to DC current, the type required by Series TX motors. This control also has a different style plug that is made to fit the motor’s shielded-type plug. The C.EMX is a solid state control in a plastic housing that can be positioned anywhere on a work surface. The hand dial is used to adjust and set speed. This manual style control allows you to maintain and return to a desired speed, time and again by marking the setting on the dial. The C.EMX also has a replaceable fuse that protects the electronics during power surges and work overloads.

4. Handpieces- All are members of Foredom’s system of interchangeable handpieces that attach to key tip shafts:
H.30 Handpiece Foredom’s most popular general purpose handpiece features a 3-jaw, geared chuck with a 0-5/32″ capacity. Accessory changes are easy with this handpiece using the supplied HPCK-0 Chuck Key.
H.44T Handpiece collet style handpiece is popular among woodcarvers as it accommodates larger accessories with shank diameters up to 1/4″. It comes with 3/32″, 1/8″ and 1/4″ collets. The tapered design allows for close and safe work.
H.43T Handpiece is a shorter version of the H.44T and accepts accessories with up to 1/4″ diameter shanks. Has pre-lubricated ball bearings that require no additional lubrication. Comes with 3/32″, 1/8″ and 1/4″ collets, pin and wrench for changing collets and accessories.
