Damage will result if the motor is connected to any other speed control.  A Handpiece is required for operation and comes separately. A means of hanging the motor is also required – such as a Foredom Motor Hanger.

M.TX Motor Description: Series TX motors are Foredoms most powerful flex shaft machines with 1/3HP. They have permanent magnet DC motors that feature the latest in flex shaft technology. These ball bearing models utilize advanced rare earth magnets (in place of the wound fields in our universal type Series SR motors) that deliver more torque at the low end and throughout the entire speed range of 500 to 15,000 RPM. No other flex shaft gives you greater control of the cutting tool, drill, or bur under any load.

It comes equipped with a motor bale for hanging, and our standard 39″ long key tip inner shaft and outer protective sheath for connecting to any of Foredom’s quick disconnect handpieces. The M.TX hang-up model is also available in prepackaged kits K.TX300, K.TX301, and K.5400.  

M.TX motors are available ONLY in 115 Volt.

C.TXR-1 Speed Control: foot operated speed control is made of heavy duty plastic with durable solid state electronics. The ergonomics allow precise and reliable speed control with your foot. For use with 115 Volt M.TX, M.TXB, M.TXH, M.LX, M.LXB, M.LXH and M.LXBH motors. 7″ long, 4-12″ wide, 2-38″ high,  ship wt 2 lbs./1 kg.

C.SXR-1 Speed Control:  foot operated speed control comes in a metal housing and the extra weight provides added stability and control. It features the same durable, solid state electronics as the C.TXR-1. The ergonomics allow precise and reliable speed control with your foot. The C.SXR-1 has special electronics that converts AC current from an electrical outlet to DC current- the type required by the motor. It also has a special plug that fits the motor’s shielded plug. For use with 115 Volt M.TX, M.TXB, M.TXH, M.LX, M.LXB, M.LXH and M.LXBH motors.

C.EMX-1 Speed Control: looks the same as our standard table top control but it has special electronics that converts AC current from an electrical outlet to DC current, the type required by Series TX motors. This control also has a different style plug that is made to fit the motor’s shielded-type plug. The C.EMX-1 is a solid state control in a plastic housing that can be positioned anywhere on a work surface. The hand dial is used to adjust and set speed. This manual style control allows you to maintain and return to a desired speed, time and again by marking the setting on the dial. The C.EMX-1 also has a replaceable fuse that protects the electronics during power surges and work overloads. 5″ long, 5-34″ wide, 2-58″ high, ship wt 2 lbs./1 kg.

    Be careful ordering this combo! There’s no option to specify a square shaft! If you think you’re getting a square shaft, you’re NOT! Not sure why there’s no option for a square shaft, but there isn’t.

      So sorry for your disappointment and inconvenience!
      Over the years we have seen the problem of customers ordering the square drive shaft when what they really want is the standard key tip shaft way, way more frequently.

      The ones with the standard key tip shaft has a choice of 3 different speed control options.

      The square drive units are a separate listing and also have a choice of 3 different speed control options.

      We have set it up separately because the greatest majority of people want the standard key tip shaft.
      The square drive shafting is stiffer and connects only with our 4 square drive style handpieces. Select a square drive model ONLY if you expect to work on over-sized projects involving the hardest to work with and most challenging materials. The standard key tip shafts can connect to more than 16 different handpieces offering greater choices and a lot of power but more delicate control for detailed work like jewelry, detail carving and other technical work.
      We are always striving to do a better job of explaining our products. Your comment has given me some ideas about ways we do need to make things clearer. So thanks for that.
