Motor and Speed Control combination for equine dental applications. Includes 1/6 horsepower, reversible M.SR Hang-Up style motor and C.FCT variable speed foot control. The motor in this kit comes installed with the special S-93-NC-66 non-conductive inner shaft and S-77-66 outer sheath.
Components:
1. Series SR Motor: Foredom's most popular and best motor for general use. The 1/6 hp, ball bearing, hang-up style M.SR runs in forward and reverse at speeds up to 18,000 RPM. It offers substantially more power than any of our older universal motors - 66% more than Series CC and 33% more than Series S and old SR motors. It comes equipped with a motor bale for hanging and a Non-Conductive inner shaft and outer sheath for connecting to any of Foredom’s 19 “quick disconnect” handpieces.The H.44T and H.25 handpieces, shown below under Related Products, are the most popular for equine applications.
The S-93-NC-66 is a special 66" long, key tip, inner shaft with a plastic, non-conductive coupling that prevents the flow of stray current through the shaft and down into the handpiece. It was developed by our engineers for equine dentists and other users with similar applications. Standard key tip shafts are 39" long and have metal couplings. This special shaft fits all Series SR and Series TX motors, as well as other models, and must be used with the S-77-66 longer outer sheath.
Replacement shafts require a VERY light coating of Foredom grease before use. Be sure to unplug your motor before doing any maintenance and never operate your Foredom without the outer sheath attached.We suggest that you view our maintenance videos before installing this item.
